What ID Bridge IA is
ID Bridge IA is a Chrome extension that displays the identifiers of the active browser tab — tabId, windowId, groupId, a synthetic sessionId, url, title, incognito state and the Chrome profile account — to the user and to local browser-automation tooling.
Data collection
ID Bridge IA does not collect, store remotely, or transmit any user data. It has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and it makes no network requests.
Local processing
All information shown by the extension is read locally from Chrome APIs and displayed only in the extension popup, or exposed locally to automation tools running on your machine. The Chrome profile email is read via
chrome.identity.getProfileUserInfo and is never sent anywhere. The synthetic sessionId is stored in the browser’s session storage and is deleted when the browser closes. Display preferences (field order and visibility) are stored in your Chrome profile’s sync storage.Permissions
tabs— read the active tab’s url, title and identifiers.storage— persist the synthetic sessionId (session storage) and your display preferences (sync storage).identityandidentity.email— read the Chrome profile account (read-only; empty when not signed in).
Third parties
No data is sold, shared or transferred to third parties. The extension popup contains outbound links (maecly.com, ko-fi.com) that only open if you click them; no data is attached to those links.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of the practices described here, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be reflected in the Chrome Web Store listing.
